FLIGHTFOLIO LEGAL

Terms of Service

Effective September 9, 2026

These terms govern your use of the FlightFolio platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

FlightFolio is currently offered as a three-day free beta. No payment card is required and no subscription fee will be charged during the trial.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and for activity under your account. Do not share an account used for signed or regulated records.

Three-day free trial and future plans

The beta provides three days of access beginning at the exact time an account is created. After that period, active logbook features are locked, but the account and saved flight records are retained for the official launch. No payment card is required, and FlightFolio will not charge you automatically when trial access ends. Any future paid service will present its price and terms before enrollment.

Aviation Liability Disclaimer

FLIGHTFOLIO IS PROVIDED STRICTLY “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” FOR RECORDKEEPING. THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) BEARS SOLE LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR VERIFYING THE ACCURACY OF ALL FLIGHT HOURS, CURRENCY TRACKING, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE UNDER 14 CFR § 61.51 AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE OR EQUIVALENT LOCAL REGULATIONS.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlightFolio disclaims operational, financial, and legal liability arising from system use, inaccurate or incomplete data, AI output, software errors, interruptions, or downtime, including flight incidents, checkride or practical-test issues, enforcement action, certificate or licensing penalties, loss of currency, employment consequences, or missed opportunities. Nothing in the platform authorizes a flight or replaces official records, current regulations, an instructor, examiner, employer, attorney, or aviation medical examiner.

Aviation records and regulatory information

You are solely responsible for reviewing every entry, preserving required records, and determining whether you are legal, current, qualified, and fit to act as a crewmember. Currency indicators, reports, FAA references, and AI output are informational tools—not legal advice, an official FAA record, operational authorization, or a substitute for current regulations, FAA guidance, an instructor, examiner, employer, or aviation medical examiner.

AI-assisted entries

AI can misunderstand speech, dates, airports, aircraft, registrations, and flight details. FlightFolio presents AI output as a draft and requires your review and approval before saving. Your approval confirms that you checked the entry for accuracy.

Signed supporting reports

A typed or drawn signature on a FlightFolio export records the pilot’s certification that the included entries and totals were reviewed and are accurate to the best of the pilot’s knowledge. FlightFolio exports are supporting logbook summaries only. They are not FAA-issued forms, official IACRA submissions, endorsements by an instructor or evaluator, or proof that an aviation authority accepted the stated experience.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, access another person’s records, interfere with security, upload unlawful material, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or use FlightFolio to falsify aviation records.

Ownership and copyright

You retain ownership of your flight information. You give FlightFolio permission to host, process, back up, and display it only as needed to provide and improve the service.

© 2026 FlightFolio. All rights reserved. FlightFolio’s original source code, interface design, graphics, written content, reports, and other original materials are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws. Except where these terms or applicable law permit it, no part of those materials may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, displayed, modified, reverse engineered, or used to create derivative works without prior written permission from FlightFolio.

FlightFolio does not claim copyright in user-owned flight records, public-domain government materials, regulatory text, or third-party materials and marks.

Beta availability and warranties

Features may contain errors, change, experience interruptions, or be discontinued. To the extent permitted by law, FlightFolio disclaims implied warranties. Keep an independent backup of every record required for certification, employment, or compliance.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FlightFolio and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, missed currency, lost opportunity, or operational decisions arising from use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so those limits apply only as far as legally permitted.

Suspension, changes, and applicable law

We may suspend accounts that threaten the service or violate these terms. We may update these terms as FlightFolio develops; material changes will be presented before taking effect. Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections govern without overriding rights that cannot legally be waived.
